Structure of the Programme

Programme

1

  • First year Engineering / Science / Computing studies at NUS
  • French language classes at Alliance Française de Singapour or equivalent(40 hours)
  • 4-week language and cultural immersion in France during vacation (100 hours)
  • Technical Preparatory: Special Mathematics and Physics classes from second semester onwards (80 hours)

2

  • Second year Engineering / Science / Computing studies at NUS
  • French language classes at the Centre for Language Studies, NUS (40 hours)
  • 4-week language immersion in France during vacation (100 hours)
  • Special Mathematics and Physics classes (180 hours)
  • Entrance examination for (X)
  • 4-week language immersion in France before the start of semester in France required by some Grandes Ecoles (100 hours)

  • Year 1 Diplome d'Ingenieur studies at French Grandes Écoles

  • Year 2 Diplome d'Ingenieur studies at French Grandes Écoles

5 - 6

  • Master of Engineering / Science / Computing studies at NUS

Maximum candidature for the integrated Bachelor and Master programme is 7 years.

Upon the completion of the programme, students are awarded 3 degrees – Bachelor's degree with Honours and Master's degree from NUS, and the "Diplome d'Ingenieur" from the French Grande École. For students attending Ecole Polytechnique, they will receive an additional “Diplôme de l’Ecole Polytechnique”, i.e. a second Master’s degree in a specialised domain.


Undergraduate Degree Requirement

1. Students are to obtain a minimum of 80 modular credits before proceeding to France
2. University Requirements

  • General Education: 8MC (at least 1 Group B module)
  • Singapore Studies: 4MC
  • Breadth (electives outside student's faculty): Not necessary

3. Faculty Requirements: Not necessary
4. Programme Requirements: Students are to complete at least level 2000 major requirements before proceeding to France. While in France, students should read modules that are closely related to their major.
5. Honours Project: After returning from the Grandes Ecoles, students will be embarking on their Honours project and concurrently reading MSc requirements. They must complete the Honours project within the first year upon return to NUS.
6. File For Graduation: Students in this programme will have to file for Honours graduation as soon as they complete the honours project and file for MSc graduation upon completion of the MSc programme.
